But what's about shedule?

In British schools students do not have any idle times. They have as many lessons as there are time slots available, except for students in Sixth Form/colleges. Therefore the compactness of the schedule (i.e. the spread of the free periods) is not an issue.  For example, study in St. Paul's Catholic School a full-time teacher is scheduled for a maximum of 22 teaching hours a week and students are scheduled for exactly 25 hours a week except in Sixth Form, where students are on average scheduled for 21 hours a week.

The amount of time devoted to break times differs from school to school.

  • 4 - 7 year olds - Two 20 minute breaks ( one in the morning and one in the afternoon)
  • 7 - 16 year olds - One 20 minute break.
The children also have an hour long lunch break.
During break times and lunch times the children go out and play in the playground.

Playground games

have been around longer than the inception of the modern playground itself, and children have been playing some of the more popular playground games for years. Tag(пятнашки), kickball(кикбол), dodgeball(вышибала), hopscotch(классики), and jump rope(скакалка) have remained long-standing favorites at recess.
Today’s modern playgrounds have top-notch equipment, including rock walls and zip lines that entertain kids and keep them active. However, traditional playground games, especially at schools with limited playground space, should not be overlooked.

Pay attention to this nice video. It's about a day in a primary school.
